The PPACA hit a benchmark date in which group health insurance plans will need to begin meeting a new series of requirements including:
  1. No lifetime dollar limits on essential health benefits
  2. No annual dollar limits on essential health benefits ($750,000 for plan years up to 9-23-11 and phasing out by 2013
  3. No pre-existing condition clauses for children under 19 (broadens to all persons 1-1-2014)
  4. Extended dependent coverage to age 26 with no conditions
